At Children’s Optical.com, we have a vision: that every kid should look fantastic in his or her eyeglasses. That kids should be proud to wear their glasses, not ashamed. That their eyeglass frames should look so cool, so stylish, that other kids will be jealous, and want to wear a pair too. And, of course, that the glasses should still be practical – durable enough to survive a kid’s lifestyle, and at a price that won’t break their parents’ wallet.
Are we looking at the world through rose-colored glasses? Perhaps. It is an ambitious vision, born out of our own frustration going to chain store opticals – even specialty fashion opticals – and finding they just didn’t have the frames to fit small heads and petite faces.
We started with an idea and our first store, The Children’s Optical, in kid-friendly Sudbury, Massachusetts. Word spread quickly, and before we knew it, whole families were coming to us, and then bringing their neighbors, schoolmates, and friends. From toddlers to kindergartners, tweens to teens, and even petite adult women – our patients and customers have come to us so they can look and see their best.
